    Course Description
    This course is designed for those who work with trauma/shock survivors or those who are trauma/shock victims themselves and who have not yet found a way to collapse and clear any images/memories and resultant fears, anxieties, depression or addictions as a result of ongoing emotional and physical disturbances.
    Learn and Master
    This is about helping others or oneself in FINDING FREEDOM from addictions, obsessions, compulsions, fears, phobias, anxieties and trauma. It is an easy guide to understanding the nature of PTSD and potentially quick and simple solutions to releasing the impacts of same.
    Mastering a skill/technique/tool
    Discover the means by which an understanding of the origins, impact and nature of shock and trauma in people’s lives can be dissipated, cleaned and cleared at a pace and in a manner that is safe and healthy for the sufferer.
    What are the requirements?
    A desire to learn about the nature of shock and trauma and to discover new, practical, and easy-to-apply tools and techniques for collapsing trauma triggers and reactions.
    What am I going to get from this course?
    This course has both academic content and experiential and practical components, with techniques to attain closure. The course contains video and audio lectures as well as resource material, references and links.

Course Curriculum

Stephen King

Stephen (Steve) King has a B.Sc. degree in Health and Human Services and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. He was an avid runner, race-walker and triathlete who has held six national age group records, has raced at Ironman and Ultraman triathlon distances and has been a member of Canada`s national 100km team. In 2001 he became only the second Canadian ever to complete the grueling Badwater Death Valley 135 mile run and he put together a photo journal of this challenge on YouTube, accompanied by his own rendition of the song ‘Road to Hell’.

Steve was the publisher of `Tri-Fit Quarterly`, a national triathlon magazine, author of a triathlon training log and CBC`s color commentator for the sport of triathlon. He has been the race announcer for many sports events including Ironman Canada (now Challenge Penticton). He has an avid interest in healthy balance and wholism and in 2012 he was inducted into the BC Athletics Hall of Fame and was honored by local businessmen who produced a bobblehead likeness of him. He is also in the Walk of Fame at Frontrunners in Victoria, BC.

Steve has worked in stockbroking, as a private investigator, in hospitality management, as a Justice of the Peace and, since 1989, at Pathways Addictions Resource Centre in Penticton. He is the author of four books on energy psychology, PTSD, Existentialism and Authenticity entitled, `Rapid Recovery: Accelerated Information Processing & Healing`PTSD: Cleaning and Clearing Shock & Trauma’ ‘The Book of Existential Questions’ and ’12 Steps to Authenticity’. Together with Dan Cumming, he also co-edited ‘Running in the Zone` and is a contributing writer to ‘Gin & Platonic and Other Short Stories with a Twist’ and ‘Triathlete in Transition’.
